This antique walking stick has a bovine horn crook handle and features a decoratively engraved silver collar hallmarked for:
'Chester 1919'
The collar is engraved with the initials of the original owner:
'JNK'
The treen shaft is elaborately hand-carved along the entire length with 2 snakes twined around the shaft.
Between the snakes, there are carvings of various items including everyday objects like glasses, plates, cups & bottles. There are also tools such as saws, hammers, rulers & knives. Other carved items include a cricket bat, stumps, a heart, a hand & various animals including birds & fish.
The shaft ends in an original bovine horn ferrule.
A beautiful & sturdy item, perfect for use or a collector.
