This antique umbrella has a malacca handle with a decorative faceted gold-plated top. The top is inlaid with fossilized (agatized) coral and is hallmarked:

'PG'
which stands for 
'Plumb Gold'
and a maker's mark:
'J.K'
For the London stick & umbrella manufacturer:
'Julius Klinkhardt'

There is a plaited black cord wrist strap attached to the handle. The lower end of the malacca shaft is furnished with a gold metal collar.

Cane shaft & metal frame that holds a navy nylon canopy. 


The shaft ends in an original metal ferrule.

A stylish umbrella, suitable for a collector or use.

Very good condition, slight stable crack to edge of top, few light dings to gold. Light age marks consistent with age. 2 pinholes to canopy which has slight staining.
