This walking stick is made from a single piece of briar wood with a crook handle. It is furnished with a decorative repousse silver collar hallmarked for:
'Chester 1906'
There is a maker's mark: 
'WJM & Co' 
For the well-known silversmith:
'W J Myatt & Co'
'The founder was William James Myatt (1860-1937), who established the company in 1895. The company was incorporated as a limited company in 1899 .

By 1914 the company was described as manufacturing silversmiths and electro-platers, specialising in silver and electro-plated wares, table and fancy goods, safety razors and razor blades.

The collar features a vacant cartouche suitable for engraving.

Strong briar shaft with a brass metal ferrule. 

An attractive item, perfect for use or a collector.
