This walking stick features a Turks head knot top with a long bound section continuing down the shaft, ending in a plaited collar. This stick would have originally belonged to a bosun. 

'The Bosun is a member of the deck department and his duty, among others, is to supervise the deck crew of the vessel. The bosun is also involved in the planning, scheduling and assigning of work to the deck crew on the ship.'

Treen shaft with an original metal ferrule.
