Antique Green Umbrella - Hallmarked Silver 1913 Collar & Duck Head Top By BRIGG

This is an antique umbrella featuring an intricately hand-made bamboo duck head handle, complete with original sharp glass eyes and furnished with a silver collar hallmarked for:
'London 1913'
Complete with a silversmiths mark 'M.J' and makers mark for:
'BRIGG London'
'Thomas Brigg & Sons, said to have been founded in 1836, were makers of umbrellas and canes in London. They merged with the London firm of Swaine & Adeney to form Swaine, Adeney, Brigg & Sons Ltd in 1943.'​

The collar features an embossed initial presentation reading:
'J.C.W.F'

The umbrella has a wooden shaft and metal inner frame by 'S.Fox & Co Ltd - Paragon'
The inner frame holds a green nylon canopy made by:
'NYLFrance FMF Lyon'

The umbrella has a metal ferrule tip
