This curio from 1919 is a real focal piece for any collection, or a conversation starter during use!
It features an old man's face with inset glass eyes, resembling the crooked man from the traditional rhyme. He also carries a silver hallmark for London Assay 1919 and a maker's mark which is difficult to make out, but may be Frances Douglas.
The shaft is stable and sturdy and sports a bamboo pattern, allowing for practical use as well as display for collectors.
