This stick is made from a single piece of hardwood, and has a skillfully hand-carved bearded man's head with grapes & vines in his hair, representing the Greek god Bacchus.

The upper shaft is carved on the back with convolvulus plants. Below this section, the remainder of the lower shaft is carved into a barley twist. 

A unique & very sturdy stick, suitable for use or a collector.

Very good condition with 3 areas of damage to shaft & light use marks consistent with age. Slight curve to shaft due to natural properties of the wood.
