The Redding Co-operative Society was a historic Scottish consumer cooperative founded in 1861 by 12 workmen in the Falkirk area. Operating through branches in villages like Shieldhill, California, and Maddiston, it served the local mining communities for decades before its records were eventually archived in the mid-1960s.

Strong ebonised shaft with a metal ferrule. 

An attractive item, ideal for use or a collector.
