This stick features a handle which has been skilfully painted & hand-carved into a realistic parrot head with original glass eyes. The carving can be attributed to the Czlinsky family:
'Primarily known for their work on walking stick and umbrella handles for high-end firms like Swaine & Adney and Brigg from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the Czlinsky family's tradition spanned multiple generations.'
The handle is furnished with a yellow metal collar stamped with the maker's name:
'BRIGG London'
'Brigg London was one of the UK’s top walking stick and umbrella manufacturers until February 1943, when Swaine & Adeney on Piccadilly and Thomas Brigg & Sons, round the corner at 23 St James's Street decided to join forces. From 1943 until 1990 the company traded as Swaine, Adeney, Brigg & Sons Ltd.'

A beautiful item, ideal for an animal lover, or for use.
