This walking stick has a crook handle ending in a decorative silver thimble, hallmarked for: 
'Chester 1896' 

With a purity mark: 
'9' 

Indicating the thimble was made with 90% silver.

There is a decoratively engraved silver collar hallmarked for:

'London, probably 1921'

With a maker's mark:
'K&SLd'

For the stick mounters:
'Kendall & Sons Ltd'
'Kendall & Sons was founded by William Wheeler Kendall in 1870. Born in 1849, he came from a farming family near 
Market Harborough in Leicestershire who decided to travel to Leicester to find his fortune.'

The collar is engraved with the initials of the original owner:
'AG'

Strong walnut shaft.

An attractive item, ideal for use or a collector.

Good condition with some dings to the silver. Rubbing to maker's mark on thimble & date mark on collar. Use marks consistent with age to shaft.
