'W. H. Carrington & Co. was a renowned Manchester- and London-based silversmith, goldsmith, and jeweler that operated under the name Carrington & Co. after 1880. The company was known for high-quality silver plate used in hotels and restaurants, as well as fine jewelry, including pieces for the British Royal Family. They held royal warrants from several monarchs, including Queen Victoria, and famously created a brooch for Queen Mary using diamonds from the Cullinan diamond.'
