'Henry Howell & Co walking sticks was founded in 1832 and was originally based at 76 Aldersgate, London. In its time, the cane manufacturer known as Henry Howell & Company, London, England was the largest and one of the world’s most prestigious makers of fine walking sticks. 

The collar has a cartouche engraved with a presentation:

'Nalder & Collyers Brewery Co. Ltd was founded by Wylim Chapman Baker prior to 1586. It was based at Croydon Brewery, 123 High Street, Croydon, Greater London.
In 1848 it was l
eased by Nalder & Collyer  from the trustees of Anthony Harman, and they bought the freehold in 1890/91. The company was registered in May 1888 with 163 public houses.
In 1919 the business was a
cquired by the City of London Brewery Co. Ltdwith 170 tied houses. Brewing ceased in 1936.'
