This walking stick has a silver mushroom top hallmarked for:  'Birmingham 1911'  With a maker's mark: 'B&S' For the Birmingham silversmith: 'B H Britton & Sons' The pommel has a central round cartouche, which is vacant & suitable for engraving. Strong ebonized shaft, which is almost entirely carved with spiral & crosshatch patterns. The shaft ends with an original metal ferrule. A sturdy item, ideal for use or a collector.  Measurements;  Length - 79.5cm  Diameter of the top - 4.0cm  Diameter of the shaft below the top - 2.8cm Weight - 317g 

Very good condition with some dings to the silver & light use marks to shaft. Rubbing to maker's mark.
