This walking stick is made from a single piece of coppiced hazel with bark intact & has a Fritz handle. 
The shaft has hand-carved lettering as follows:
'A.E. Jones.
A.M.C.H. 27 August 1901.'

There are decorative carvings of a heart with an arrow through it, shamrocks & cross-hatching to the end of the stick.
'A.M.C.H. stands for Army Medical Corps Hospital, which is a part of the Irish Guards regiment in the British Army. The Irish Guards, affectionately known as "The Micks", are a foot guards infantry regiment with a dual role: they are both ceremonial guards of the Royal Palaces and proficient light infantry soldiers.
The Irish Guards have a rich history, having been formed in 1900 by Queen Victoria in response to Irish units' bravery in the Boer War.'
