With a maker's stamp for: 
'Brigg' 
'Brigg was one of the UK’s top walking stick and umbrella manufacturers until February 1943, when Swaine & Adeney on Piccadilly and Thomas Brigg & Sons, around the corner at 23 St James's Street decided to join forces. From 1943 until 1990 the company traded as Swaine, Adeney, Brigg & Sons Ltd' 

There is also a silversmith's mark 'T.J' for the London-based Silversmith: 

‘Thomas Johnson’ 
Thomas Johnson was one of Briggs silversmiths throughout the 1800s until his death in the late 1890s and is noted in page 102 of the ‘In Good Hands – Swaine Adeney Brigg’ book by Katherine Prior. 


The top is engraved with the initials of the original owner: 
'N.M.M' 

Strong malacca shaft with a brass ferrule. 

An elegant item, ideal for use or a collector.
