This vintage swagger stick has a nickel-silver pommel featuring the crest of the Trinidad Police Force. 
'A paramilitary police force existed in Trinidad after the abolition of slavery in 1838. In the mid 19th century members of the Metropolitan Police were brought to Trinidad on secondment. During this period the Police Headquarters was housed at the corner of Abercromby and Hart Streets.' 

The pommel features the crest of the force at the time, a six-pointed star surrounding a crown and a lion. 

Treen shaft with a brass ferrule. 

Ideal for use or a collector.
