 This WW1 military riding whip features a nickel silver top displaying the emblem for: 
'Cambridge University Officers Training Corps' 

'In 1908, the Cambridge University contingent of the Officers' Training Corps was formally raised in response to the recommendations of the committee formed by Lord Haldane and consisted of a battalion of infantry, a squadron of cavalry, a battery of artillery and medical and engineering units.' 

The whip has a plaited rawhide leather shaft with a cord end. 

A rare & attractive item ideal for a military collector or for use.

 Diameter of the top - 2.3cm
 Diameter of the shaft under the top - 1.8cm
Weight - 135g

 

Good condition with some surface oxidation to the top, age marks consistent with age.
