This walking stick features a repousse silver top, with a crest for: 
'The Durham Light Infantry' 

'The Durham Light Infantry was a light infantry regiment of the British Army in existence from 1881 to 1968. It was formed in 1881 under the Childers Reforms by the amalgamation of the 68th Regiment of Foot and the 106th Regiment of Foot, along with the Militia and Volunteers of County Durham.​' 

The top also features hallmarks for: 
'Birmingham 1918' 
And a maker's mark: 
'M.B' 

The stick also features a silver collar, embossed with a presentation reading: 
'Sergt J.Tunney 
9th Btn D.L.I 
1917 - 1918' 


Strong malacca shaft with an original metal ferrule. 

Attractive item ideal for a military collector or use.
