'The Army Service Corps (ASC) was a British Army unit responsible for the logistics of supplying the army with food, water, equipment, and fuel. Active from 1888 to 1965, it was also known as the Royal Army Service Corps (RASC) after World War I and was the logistical backbone of the army.' ​
